Came here for breakfast on NYE. The food was pretty good. Had the BPR combo. The best part was the eggs - cooked PERFECTLY, and the tater tots were crispy and not too oily. The waffle was huge, soft and buttery. My only complaint was that we passed on getting coffee from a place down the street because we didn't want to be the people who bring outside food/drinks, only to be told the espresso machine was not working. Only thing available was drip coffee, which tasted sour/burned. Overall, cute place and decorations were cute for the holiday. I did notice (and mention to an employee) that from my original table I was getting a pee smell. We both agreed that it was likely the live Christmas tree they had there - he was perfectly fine w us moving.

Been a while since my last visit! This time we tried their loco moco and it was pretty good! The gravy was savory and tasty, I wish the onion crisps were crispier tho but it added a nice flavor. I also enjoyed their maui fizz non alcoholic drink. I loooved their christmas decor. It's already a cute spot but with a festive flair. It felt really cozy and comfy. The service was nice as usual but unfortunately took a while for them to notice we hadn't ordered yet haha. got the croque madame again and it was delish

It was very easy to make a reservation. They seated us upstairs which was very nice and cozy and really felt comfortable. They had Christmas decorations up and it felt festive. The food was really good. The steak and eggs hit the spot. Very good medium rare and just thick enough to come out medium. Good sear and seasoning. The brunch board was also very good. Fruits were fresh and the burrata was nice and creamy. The drinks are also very good. A lot of flavor including the booze. All the options look good and are very valid for what you pay. Overall the experience was really good. Service was fast and accommodating and occasionally making sure you are enjoying yourself. I would highly recommend this place especially if you are looking for a great brunch to set the tone for the day. Just beware of the food coma.

Great brunch time at Drakes for my first visit. Parking was about two blocks away but on a beautiful day, who cares? As I waited for my friend to arrive, I took the liberty of ordering a virgin bloody Mary. It was delicious! A little peppery with bits of tomatoes, I half slice of bacon, stick of celery and a skewer with a cherry tomato and olive. No alcohol this time due to having to drive a distance afterwards. I couldn't help but look at the dishes that were coming out because the smells and colors of the plates really caught my eye. The chilaquiles are pretty popular and very good according to my friend. It was very generous on the chips and her eggs were cooked perfectly. My corned beef hash was very tender and the tots are out of this world crispy. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly! Please support this local business.

I might be biased because my husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here but we love Drakes! Our meals always hit the spot whether it's brunch, lunch or dinner. My all time favorite is their burger, I dream about it. Service always go above and beyond on making sure their guests feel welcomed. Drakes is a perfect spot for a date, get together with friends, girls night pitstop for cocktails or even wedding rehearsal dinners ;)

I've been to Drakes a few times, twice for brunch and a couple times for dinner. I will say, it's expensive but I do think the quality of the food is good and you get what you pay for. I do with the cocktail prices were a little bit lower but that's okay, I'll still get a cocktail! Everyone there has always been really nice and they have a great staff. I do like how it's decorated and always feels nice walking in. Their Trivia Tuesdays is fun too!

Vibes of this brunch spot were really nice. They have a full bar with a great selection of cocktails. We got the spicy breakfast burrito and chilaquiles. We had the chilaquiles with chorizo and they were so bomb, would recommend. They also have tv's here with the football games playing to keep ur sports loving man entertained while he feeds you

We've been to Drakes a number of times and we have always enjoyed it. Recently, we took a party of 14 family members, most from out of town, for lunch and I have to say the service was excellent. It's not always easy to work with a crowd like ours, but our server was friendly, helpful and just a pleasure to work with. The food was good and everybody left very happy. The photos I have below are from our first visit where I had the quiche for breakfast (which was surprisingly good, since who orders quiche when there are so many Mexican options?) Others had the spicy breakfast burrito and the brunch burger, both of which were nicely spiced and delicious. The ambience is great and it's fun to look around at the old photos and how the building looked many years ago. It's definitely one of our go to places when we are visiting our family in San Carlos.
